Wall Cabinet Door Display
One way to maximize wall space to display cabinet doors is to use 3″ tall MDF French cleat (cleat on the wall and the back of the door sample, with the top of the wall cleat and the bottom of the door cleat angled to fit together as shown in the photos). An additional 3″ piece of MDF is added to the wall several inches below the French cleat to keep the bottom of the sample an equal distance from the wall as the top of the sample.
A piece of 3/4″ shoe molding was used around the perimeter of the display shown below to hide the MDF cleats and create a finished look.
To display doors and drawer fronts paired together, mount them to a piece of 1/4″ plywood, masonite or mdf and then mount the angled 3″ tall MDF cleat to the 1/4″ backer. This wall display method is a quick and inexpensive solution that allows samples to easily be removed and replaced on the wall and stay organized and off the floor.
