Contemporary or modern kitchens and modern cabinet doors are minimal in embellishments and counter top accessories, and cabinet doors tend to be angular designs with little ornamentation or are simply slab, edgebanded veneer. Modern 5-piece cabinet door designs have an angled inside edge and square outside edge. Contemporary kitchens tend to have flat panels with angular detail and horizontal panel grain creates a more modern look. Very angular raised panel detail or a very small panel reveal are also popular contemporary looks.
